ATRC - Assistive Technology Resource Center
As an ATRC, URS can assist any resident of Pennsylvania who is interested in borrowing from an inventory of more than 1,000 assistive technology devices from Pennsylvanias Initiative on Assistive Technologys Lending Library (PIAT).
The inventory includes devices for play, work, learning, and living for people
of all ages. This is a free program that is designed to give the person with
a disability a chance to use a device for a few weeks to see if it is helpful,
before considering a purchase.
An assistive technology device is any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially or custom made, that is used to enable individuals with disabilities to communicate, learn, play, achieve, work and be independent.
URS can also help with loan information through the PATF Loan Program.
